OUR STORY

Our collection of seashell mosaic tiles are individually hand crafted and made to order, reflecting over 20 years of manufacturing expertise. The seashells are indigenous to the Philippines and represent the biodiversity of the this beautiful region consisting of more than 7,000 islands. Environmentally friendly, the mosaics are derived from discarded shells originally harvested as a food source and are not among endangered species.

Layers of the shell are carefully extracted, sorted, cut and polished - not coated - to reveal a jewel-like finish which resembles the brilliance and durability of nature. The tiles are suitable for installation in almost any setting appropriate for marble except underwater.

The tiles, with the exception of blue opal and coconut, can be used in areas exposed to high humidity or wetness (bathtub, surrounds or non-steam shower enclosures) provided they and adjacent grout joints are sealed before and after grouting. Tiles should be periodically maintained with sealer and cleaned with a ph neutral cleaner - not any product containing abrasives or acids.

This material can be the jewelry of a physical space in the form of decorative liners, inserts or a entire wall depending on the desired presentation. Tiles are available in any size up to a 12x12 and they can also have one or more edges beveled or finished for a more tailored look.

Custom work is an option and we can use a variety of substrates, such as thin steel, to meet different thickness levels of the project. Among these custom items are table tops, mirror frames, vases, custom mosaic panels and architectural columns.

We highly encourage seeing actual samples of the shells. The mosaics are individually crafted from natural materials therefore variations will occur within and between each piece of the same item. We believe that this is a part of the mosaics' unique quality and beauty.
